Luxembourg: Day 0

The Long Drive

Up at sparrow’s fart to hit the road down to Folkestone to get the train over to France, and then the drive to Luxembourg.

A total of about 7 hours or so on the road to Luxembourg and the campsite (Camping Kockelscheuer) which was just outside the city, but as all public transport in Luxembourg is free of charge this wasn’t going to be a problem. On the way we stopped at a motorway services (in Belgium I think if I remember correctly) and had THE best motorway services food ever! The burgers and Shelli’s loaded fries put a lot of pubs to shame it was that good.

The campsite was great – really well appointed and good facilities – and over a beer or two we got set up before heading out to find a shop to get some supplies in, once again absolutely blown away by the quality and range of the produce on offer.

On the way back Steve had his first tram ride ever. Check out the video below; he was like a little kid. Bless him.

A long but fun day, singing along to the drive playlist I put together which seemed to hit the mark…phew!
