Having thoroughly enjoyed ourselves at the Big Feastival last year we snapped up tickets for this year’s festival almost as soon as they went on sale.
We got Steve a ticket too as he was going to be with us after getting back from Luxembourg, hoping that he’d have a good time. Food and drink not a problem; pop, indie and dance music, well if you know Steve then you know he’s pretty much thrash and metal through and through! Only time would tell if it was a good idea or not.
With a quick turnaround after getting back from Luxembourg, we headed off on our merry way to the festival site a short 1 1/2 hours up the road. I’d paid for Thursday access to the camping field to save us getting up at stupid o’clock to beat the chaos of Friday morning, which was definitely the right thing to do. After queueing for our wristbands we were shown our pitch for the weekend and we got our home from home set up, with a beer or two of course!
Nothing was going on on Thursday night so we had a chilled evening, eating some food, drinking some beers, and getting to know our neighbours a little bit.
